Old Gore was made for a party.
Set overlooking a secluded Cotswold valley near Cirencester, its relaxed atmosphere, incredible food and rustic barn setting make it one of the Cotswolds' most distinctive wedding venues.
It’s also a venue I know well.
Having performed at weddings at Old Gore, I know how to work with the space, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the crowd — taking the music naturally from the first drinks of the day through to a packed dance floor at night.

Relaxed in the daytime. Incredible food. Drinks flowing. Then, as evening arrives, the barn turns into a proper party.

There are no fixed wedding playlists.
Before your wedding, we’ll discuss the artists, genres and tracks you love, the music that means something to you and anything you don't want to hear.
From there, I read the room.
Soul, disco, funk, indie, R&B, garage, house, Ibiza classics, 80s and 90s favourites, modern dance music — whatever direction the crowd takes us.

From Daytime Drinks to Dance Floor
If you want music to form part of the whole day at Old Gore, my All Day Wedding Package creates one seamless soundtrack from your guests arriving through to the final track of the night.
Ceremony
Music for guest arrival, your entrance, signing and ceremony exit, all planned with you beforehand.
Where required, a discreet wireless sound system can be used so everything remains clean and unobtrusive.
Drinks Reception
Old Gore really comes into its own during the drinks reception.
With the surrounding Cotswold countryside and relaxed atmosphere, this is the perfect time for music that adds something to the setting without taking over.
Think soul, funk, acoustic edits, laid-back house and Ibiza-inspired sounds while guests enjoy drinks, photographs and the surroundings.
Wedding Breakfast
Background music keeps the atmosphere going while leaving plenty of space for conversation, food and speeches.
A wireless microphone can also be provided for speeches.
Cocktail Hour
As dinner finishes and the evening starts to take shape, the music begins to lift.
Disco. Funk. Soulful house. Classics.
Enough energy to signal that the party is coming without giving everything away too early.
Then it's time for the first dance.
The Old Gore Dance Floor
This is where things change.
Once the evening party starts, I move into an open-format DJ set built around your guests and what is happening on the dance floor.
Rather than working through a predetermined playlist, I’m constantly reading the room — changing direction when necessary, building energy when it’s there and knowing when to drop the tracks everyone suddenly wants to hear.
Your must-plays provide the direction.
Your guests provide the reaction. I bring everything together.
No cheesy DJ routines.
No unnecessary microphone work.
No generic wedding playlist.
Just properly mixed music and a full dance floor.
DJ x Sax at Old Gore
Old Gore is one of my favourite venues for the DJ x Sax setup.
Live sax adds another level of energy without interrupting the flow of the DJ set.
Rather than stopping the music for a separate performance, the saxophonist plays live alongside me, improvising over selected tracks as the set continues.
House, disco, funk, Ibiza classics and modern dance music work particularly well — and when the dance floor is already moving, bringing the sax into the room can create some huge moments.
Sax can also be added earlier in the day for your drinks reception or cocktail hour.
A Setup That Belongs in the Room
Old Gore already has plenty of character, so the DJ setup shouldn't fight against it.
My presentation is deliberately clean and understated.
A stylish DJ booth, professional equipment and intelligent programmed lighting create a premium setup that complements the barn rather than filling it with unnecessary equipment.
Additional wireless uplighting can also be incorporated to bring warmth and atmosphere into the room.
Everything is planned around making the setup feel like part of the wedding — not something that has simply been wheeled into the corner.
