Old Gore sits above a secluded Cotswold valley near Cirencester, and it's a venue built for a party. I've played a number of Old Gore weddings, moving the music from relaxed drinks outside to a full barn at midnight.

How do you plan the music for an Old Gore Barn wedding?
Old Gore weddings have their own rhythm: a relaxed daytime with food and drinks flowing, then the barn turns into a proper party as evening arrives. I plan the music around that shape. Before the wedding we talk through the artists, genres and tracks you love, and anything you'd rather not hear.
On the night I read the room: soul, disco, funk, indie, R&B, garage, house, Ibiza classics, 80s and 90s or modern dance music. The right music, at the right time, for the right crowd.
How does the music run through a wedding day at Old Gore Barn?
With the All-day package, one DJ looks after the whole soundtrack at Old Gore Barn: ceremony music, the drinks reception, background music through the wedding breakfast, a wireless microphone for speeches, then the evening party. All-day starts from £1,750, and we plan each part together beforehand.
Ceremony
In the barns or on the lower lawn, with arrivals, aisle, signing and exit planned with you. A discreet wireless system keeps things tidy.
Drinks reception
Soul, funk, acoustic edits and laid-back house while guests take in the valley.
Wedding breakfast & speeches
Background music with room for conversation, plus a wireless microphone for speeches.
Cocktail hour
Outside in summer if you'd like it — couples have had me playing on the lawn before moving indoors for the first dance.
First dance to midnight
An open-format, properly mixed set, without cheesy routines or unnecessary mic work.
Can we add live sax at Old Gore Barn?
Yes, and Old Gore is one of my favourite venues for it. The saxophonist plays over selected tracks while the set keeps moving, usually as 3 × 30-minute or 2 × 45-minute features. Sax can also join for drinks or cocktail hour, and I can book the saxophonist for you. The fee depends on your date.
How does your setup work with the Funktion-One at Old Gore Barn?
Old Gore has its own Funktion-One system, included in the venue hire, so I work with it rather than bringing in a large PA. My presentation is clean and understated: a stylish DJ booth and programmed lighting that complement the barn rather than cluttering it. I agree timings and setup changes with the venue beforehand.
Additional wireless uplighting can add warmth around the room.
