Elmore Court Wedding DJ

Wedding DJ at Elmore Court, Gloucestershire

Some wedding venues are beautiful places that happen to have a dance floor. Elmore Court is different. Set in the Gloucestershire countryside overlooking the Cotswold hills, it combines the character of its historic house and gardens with something very special for the evening — The Gillyflower.

Purpose-built for dinner, music and dancing, The Gillyflower makes Elmore one of my favourite Cotswolds venues for couples who want the party to be an important part of their wedding. Having DJed at Elmore Court, I know the venue, the flow of the day and how good the room can feel when the lights come down and the dance floor fills.

From Elmore Court to The Gillyflower

One of the things I love about Elmore is the natural transition between the different parts of the wedding. The house and gardens provide the backdrop for the ceremony, drinks and photographs before guests move across to The Gillyflower for dinner and the evening celebration.

Musically, that gives us an opportunity to do exactly the same thing. The soundtrack can feel relaxed and sophisticated earlier in the day, with a little more energy as dinner approaches. Then, when it's time to party, everything changes.

A Wedding Venue Built for Music

The Gillyflower was designed with music, celebration and dancing in mind, with its own professional Funktion-One sound system and integrated lighting. For a DJ, that's a serious advantage and an opportunity to make the most of a space built for a great party.

I can work with the venue and its existing production to create something that feels completely at home in the room. The result is clean, understated and, when the time comes, incredibly effective.

Your Music. Your Wedding.

I don't believe a luxury wedding should come with a generic wedding playlist. Before your wedding, we'll talk about the music you actually love: the artists that mean something to you, the records you grew up with and the tracks your friends will instantly recognise. We'll cover your absolute must-plays, along with anything you definitely don't want to hear.

That gives me a direction while leaving room to respond to your guests on the night. I read the room and build the set around what's happening on the dance floor, moving from soul into disco, disco into house, indie into 90s favourites or R&B into garage. Old favourites can lead into something completely unexpected. It's about choosing the right music, at the right time, for the right crowd.

The Elmore Court Dance Floor

Once the first dance is finished, the evening becomes a proper DJ set. Tracks are professionally mixed, and the music moves naturally between genres and generations as I react to your guests, without unnecessary microphone work or cheesy wedding DJ routines.

Some weddings want disco, funk and soul, while others head towards house, garage and Ibiza. Some crowds love indie, rock and huge singalong records, and most end up somewhere in between. That's why I don't decide exactly what I'm going to play before I arrive. The people in front of me help shape where we go next.

DJ x Sax at Elmore Court

The Gillyflower is an incredible setting for DJ x Sax, with the saxophonist performing live alongside me as part of the evening set. We build the dance floor first, then introduce live sax at exactly the right moment. House, disco, funk, soulful house and Ibiza-inspired tracks work particularly well, creating another level of energy while keeping the music flowing.

Sax can also be incorporated earlier in your wedding, including during the drinks reception or cocktail hour, before joining me again for the evening party.

Music Throughout Your Elmore Court Wedding

If you'd like music to run through more than just the evening, my All Day Wedding Package can provide one continuous soundtrack to the day. Ceremony music can cover guest arrival, your aisle entrance, signing and ceremony exit, followed by a drinks reception soundtrack of relaxed soul, acoustic edits, funk, laid-back house or something completely tailored to you.

During the wedding breakfast, carefully selected background music adds atmosphere without taking over the room, with wireless microphones available for speeches where required. Cocktail hour brings a gradual change of energy as the daytime celebration becomes an evening party, leading into your first dance and continuing through to the final record of the night.

Each part of the day feels connected, with the music developing naturally as the wedding unfolds.

Stylish, Not Overdone

Elmore Court already has an incredible aesthetic, so my approach is deliberately understated. Clean presentation, professional equipment and carefully considered lighting complement the setting and keep the setup free from unnecessary clutter.

Everything should feel at home in the venue during dinner, then come alive when it's time to dance.
