Kingscote Barn sits on Binley Farm just outside Tetbury, with the valley opening out around it. I'm Alistair Rutherford, and I've played a wedding here, so I've already seen how the day moves from ceremony into the barn for dinner and then onto the oak dance floor.
I'm a resident DJ at Soho Farmhouse and The Fox at Oddington. Couples book me for open-format sets that stay considered through the day and properly mixed once the party starts.

How the day runs
With All-day booked I cover ceremony, drinks, background through dinner, a wireless mic for speeches, then the evening set. Kingscote gives you indoor and outdoor ceremony options; on All-day I bring discreet wireless sound outside when the ceremony sits under the Linhay or on One Tree Hill, then move into the barn for dinner and the party. Once the tables clear I take over the oak floor.
I bring my own DJ booth and evening sound. The venue's PA covers speeches and background; I don't rely on it for the dance floor. Uplighting can sit around the barn as it gets dark — see wedding uplighting.
How late the music runs
My packages finish at midnight. Kingscote advertises exclusive use to 1am and a licence to party until 1am on bespoke barn hire, so a later finish can be quoted separately where the venue allows it. That late hour is not part of either package.
