Stone Barn lists a DJ as one of its music options, and I've played there. I'm Alistair Rutherford, a resident DJ at Soho Farmhouse, and I play open-format, properly mixed sets with no cheesy routines. For a Stone Barn evening, prices start at £1,150, or £1,750 if you’d like me there all day.
A December night in the barn
One of my Stone Barn weddings was just before Christmas. For the first dance, the couple had the floor to themselves under a hanging floral installation, with candles and fairy lights on the old walls and guests standing in a ring around them, drinks in hand and phones up. Once the song finished, that ring became the dance floor.
The barn does a lot of the work. It's a former working farm building with flagstone floors, timber beams and a vast open fireplace, and it has its own Funktion-One sound system and lighting. So I keep my setup clean and compact, and put the effort into the music.

Before the day we talk through the artists you love, your must-plays and anything you'd rather not hear. Stone Barn questions
How late can the music run?
The venue has a late licence until 1am. My sets end at midnight as standard, and you can carry on to the 1am close by adding a late-finish fee, which I'll quote when you ask.
Does Stone Barn have its own sound system?
Yes, a Funktion-One system and its own lighting. I agree the technical side with the venue team before the day.
Can we marry outdoors?
Yes. Stone Barn is licensed for up to 200 seated, with a wooden shelter used for outdoor ceremonies in summer. All-day includes ceremony music with discreet wireless sound.
Where is Stone Barn?

How many guests can the barn hold in the evening?
Cripps & Co list a total capacity of 250 at Stone Barn, including evening guests, with up to 200 for dining. My evening package runs for up to five hours and finishes at midnight; the extra hour to 1am is available under the venue's licence for an added fee, quoted on request.
How do we tell you what to play?
Use my planning portal to add the songs you want in the set. If you like, share its QR code or link with guests so they can put in requests, and you pick the ones you're happy for me to play. I'll then shape the night around your choices and the room.
